Inspector Sheldon Gordon – General Secretary
Inspector Sheldon Gordon always,it seems, presents a very stern look and it is no secret that he is a strict disciplinarian with very high morals and principles.
He is committed to representation as he is also devoted to his faith, being an ardent Seventh Day Adventist. This Director of Research and Documentation embraces the notion that research is imperative to the survival of an organization as it helps you to know your past and strategized for your future.
This former Director of Training has used his skills to conduct and participate in several on-going researches into Disciplinary Matters…. the variables surrounding Disciplinary Matters, Is it perceived indiscipline or lack of Communication and several other pertinent and targeted researches.
This career police officer who enlisted in the Jamaica Constabulary Force on November 6th 1996, has served Saint Andrew South, Police Control now Police Emergency, Saint Andrew North and temporarily the Inspectorate of Constabulary, Firearm Auditing.
He is currently the General Secretary of the Jamaica Police Federation and holds a Master’s Degree in Government and a Bachelors of Science Degree in Public Sector Management. He pays very keen attention to aesthetics. He is often told that his daughter Alayne is his replica. A farmer at heart, his most quiet moments involve tending to his sweet peppers, peppers and tomatoes which are grown in his back yard, although he is yet to understand that a quarter of any crop belongs to insects under the law of nature.
As a negotiator he is yet to reach an agreement with the insects. His hobbies are anything related to technology and reading. The last book he read was “Future Plans”. He is not always clairvoyant but sees marriage in his future. He lives by his mantra, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” He wants to be remembered as someone who loves to help people.
