Detective Corporal Doris Stewart-Walcott is a dedicated and experienced member of the Jamaica Constabulary Force with sixteen (16) years of service. She has served the St Catherine South Division, Operations Kingfish, Crime Portfolio, St Andrew South Division, Kingston West Division and most recently as the Intelligence and Crime Analyst and Office Manager at the Major Investigation Division.
As an advocate Detective Corporal Stewart-Walcott has been engaged since 2003 in representational activities, where she spearheaded several research projects and wrote important opinion for matters such as the INDECOM Act.
She believes in education and is currently pursuing LL.B, studies with the University of London at the University College of the Commonwealth. She is the holder of a Diploma in Law, Diploma in Computer Operations, a Certificate in Paralegal Studies and has professional competencies in Research, Writing and Communication and Analysis. She is a lecturer at REDTRAC where she facilitates, “The Analysis Course.”
A family oriented person, she is married and the mother of three boys who are high achievers in their own right. She is God fearing and takes pleasure in knowing her bible. Her hobbies include reading, watching television and surfing the Internet. Her guiding philosophy is, “there is no shortage of resources in the Universe, let us therefore be our brothers keeper.”
